Instantly recognizable by her trademark expression, “Cuchi Cuchi,” Charo has been an integral proponent of contemporary Latin music. She was named Female Pop Album of the Year Award at the Billboard International Latin Music Conference for her flamenco-inspired platinum album, Guitar Passion, and voted Best Flamenco Guitarist twice by Guitar Magazine. Her latest release Besame Mucho (2020), is a beautiful tribute to her late husband, symbolizing their long-lasting marriage and deep love for each other. She has entertained millions from stages worldwide and recently wowed over 17,000 in attendance at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles with her brand-new show, featuring her infectious humor, virtuoso guitar skills, orchestra, and dancers. Many critics have hailed her triumphant return to Vegas as the best live show of her career.

Charo has appeared in movies and countless hit television shows, including the long-running comedy “The Love Boat,” “Sonny and Cher,” “The Carol Burnett Show,” “Hollywood Squares,” VH1’s “The Surreal Life,” CW’s "Jane The Virgin" and more than forty-five appearances on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.”

An icon in the LGBT community and known for her activism on behalf of human and animal rights, Charo is equally famous among English-speaking Anglos and Spanish-speaking Latinos across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.
